Too close for comfort. Eagles Postgame 9/20/26

Updated: Sep 20
The Eagles get the win over the Tennessee Titans 24-20. This game was definitely a hard fought victory even though I think there's a decent skill gap between the two teams. Once again I find myself talking about how bad the offensive line looked. The entire offensive line just doesn't look like how they have in past years. Eagles fans have felt for a long time just dominant offensive lines, so seeing this line, and the line last season, is just heartbreaking. Cameron Jurgens was a huge part of this problem today.
I get it, there's some injuries along the line, and some guys just aren't playing up to their full extent, but there's no excuse to a Titans defensive line that just isn't entire all that appealing. Don't get me wrong there's definitely some good players, and Jeffery Simmons is a great player, but the Titans just aren't all that great on defense.
Hurts had two interceptions today, but one wasn't totally his fault. The receievers did pretty well especially Wicks, and Devonta. Unfortunately Goedert gets injured early and doesn't return and Saquon gets injured early as well and then gets the clear to come back into the game, but then leaves at the end of the 3rd for precautions. Luckily Tank Bigsby played great today, at the tight end position though nobody showed up. Mundt actually looked terrible out there. On the defensive side of the ball, Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith had great crucial sacks, and Jihaad played great as well. Cooper DeJean and Quinyon stepped up this week from last week.
Eventually Hurts will lead us out of the game, with a game winning drive, making it his 15th all time. Never any doubt that Hurts will get the job done. The Eagles will look to play next week against the Chicago Bears in Chicago, with the probability of Caleb out since he suffered a very unfortunate injury this week against the Minnesota Vikings.
