Still without a win... Flyers Postgame 10/8/26

The Flyers lose another in regulation, bringing their record to 0-3-2 through 5 games and making them the only team in the East without a win.

Even though they lost tonight, I think the team played their best so far. They had 29 shots, and Joseph Woll made 24 saves. On those 29 shots, they were only able to score once, but it is a positive sign to see them getting pucks and traffic to the front of the net.

Tonight, the issue wasn't chances; it was about being smart with the puck. Ottawa dominated the turnover battle, which led them to win 2-1 on a 3rd-period goal from young defenseman Carter Yakemchuck. A positive so far for the Flyers is that Matvei Michkov now has two goals and looks as if he could be poised for a breakout.

Philly will look to finally get a win as they travel to Boston for a Saturday afternoon game at 1 pm.
