Monday Night Football Has Become a Nightmare for the Eagles

The Eagles have an extremely rough night and lose to the Chicago Bears 27-7. I had a feeling that the Eagles would lose their undefeated streak but I honestly didn't think it would come until week four against the Los Angeles Rams. The Eagles look incredibly sloppy on both ends of the football in this game, and there's no excuses for it.
The Chicago Bears were without franchise Quarterback Caleb Williams for the Monday Night Spotlight but that didn't seem to affect them that much. The Eagles defense was absolutely abyssmal last night. I honestly have no clue on what happened with this team within the past two years but they don't look the same as they did when they won the Super Bowl. Obviously not every team is going to be a dynasty, but for the talent that the Eagles have to be playing the way they are just doesn't seem right. Quinyon Mitchell & Cooper DeJean are elite level cornerbacks, and Tariq Woolen is also a very good corner for this secondary to be so off. I mean clearly there will be games where wide receivers look good against them, but not to this extent.
Against the Titans last week Ayomanor had himself a field day especially towards the end of the game. This week Kalif Raymond had himself a field day. Kalif Raymond has been in the NFL by the way since 2016, and has yet to surpass 3,000 yards receiving. Based on those statistics it sounds like he's a 5th string wide receiever at best. But then yet elite level corners made him look unreal last night. The defensive line also has been insanely terrible so far this season. Last night they showed that they are unable to stop the run, and can't get to the quarterback. The way this defensive core looks so far brings up a lot of questions, the biggest being are they worth the money. In my opinion at least in the moment, it's been three games and I believe they can turn it around but they have to turn that ship around as soon as possible. I mean this defense doesn't have a single takeaway through three games already. That's not a good look at all especially knowing the fact that last night they let Case Keenum a quarterback who hasn't played since 2023, dice them up and look like a starter.
On the offensive side of the ball, they couldn't get it going. I also have to make this clear, Eagles fans do not panic. If your worried about the offense they were due to have a bad night. I don't blame this loss on Jalen Hurts either by the way to clear the air. If the dirty hit from D'Marco Jackson doesn't happen (for the people who didn't see he went helmet to helmet on Hurts as he was practically out on the sidelines) I think Hurts keeps this game close and could possibly win the game. There was indeed some terrible play calling on the offense last night especially with certain plays like the Lemon catch behind the line of scrimmage, every time they run it, no matter who it's intended for they lose yardage which is why I don't understand why they do it. The offensive line looked better last night then the past two games but there's still no excuses. Also I understand that Hurts had to get out of the game for concussion protocol, but I would've made sure not to scratch either Mckee or Payton. I don't like Andy Dalton and he proved exactly who he was last night by throwing an interception on a big drive in the end zone.
This game was also determined by the amount of flags that were thrown. The referees last night were very against the Eagles, especially in the second and fourth quarters. The Eagles gained a total of ten flags last night. The Eagles are still without Goedert, and Ertz made his long awaited reunion game with the Eagles last night, but they just couldn't get it done in the end. This offense needs time, and I think they'll turn it around, but they have to first worry about playing the Los Angeles Rams this Sunday at one pm, in South Philadelphia.
