Fixing The Flaws: Five Eagles Trade Targets Who Fit

Jawaan Taylor - OL, Atlanta Falcons
Taylor is a potential option on an offensive line that desperately needs a tackle. His experience would be crucial in protecting Jalen Hurts and keeping our run game functioning. A vet like Taylor could make defenses change their game plan rather than just attacking inexperienced starters. Taylor also makes financial sense, as he is only on a one year - five million dollar deal with Atlanta. He's a manageable cost effective solution for a more needing issue on offense at the moment.
Pat Freiermuth - TE, Pittsburgh Steelers
Pat Fierermuth would offer the Eagles a proven tight end who can contribute as a receiver, primarily in the red zone, where he flourishes. With Hurts struggling this year I would never say no to another high level receiver. Pairing Freiermuth with Dallas Goedert would create a defensive match up nightmare. If the asking price is right, pull the trigger on Pat!
Chris Godwin - WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Chris Godwin brings polished route running and spectacular catches in traffic to a stagnant offense, who cannot seem to catch their stride. His versatility over the middle of the field would complement Devonta Smith's work outside the sticks. The offensive struggles this year are primarily focused on the offensive line and receivers, and if even one of these can improve, we might have a shot at getting out of the first round of the playoffs. The only thing that worries me is the availability of Godwin.
Rico Dowdle - RB, Pittsburgh Steelers
While in Pittsburgh and Dallas, Rico Dowdle has proved he can handle a meaningful role in a high powered offense. Dowdle could bring more experience and consistency to the RB room while Saquon is out nursing a hamstring injury. I hate saying it, but I liked him in Dallas, and I would prefer him over Will Shipley anyday. He is flexible as a blocker and a runner, and would improve what the current offense looks like.
Willie Gay Jr. - LB, Miami Dolphins
Gay offers athleticism and speed, something we seem to be lacking through four weeks. He is fast and angry. The speed he possesses is useful against offenses that use misdirection, short passes, out outside runs to create space. Rather than being a starter he would be a good rotation guy that could step in and not give up a big play.
