What does the Gonzalez contract mean for the Eagles?

Christian Gonzalez just resigned with the New England Patriots making him the highest paid cornerback. The top 5 paid cornerbacks now are Christian Gonzalez (4Year-135 Million), Devon Witherspoon (4Year-132), Trent McDuffie (4Year-124), Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner (4Year-120.4), and lastly Jaycee Horn (4Year-100).
Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean are eligible for extension come 2026 offseason. The money could be a very high asking price for both of them based on how the current market is. In my personal opinion, I think Quinyon Mitchell should get top 5 cornerback money, putting him above Jaycee and McDuffie but below Gonzalez and Witherspoon would be where I think he should be around. That would end up putting Quinyon around the 4 year 130 million range. On the other hand, I could see DeJean resigning for around a 4 year deal worth 80 million.
The Eagles are approaching a pivotal stretch when it comes to shaping the future of this roster, with difficult decisions on contracts and personnel coming sooner rather than later. The cornerback position, in particular, could become a major priority as Philadelphia weighs which pieces are worth investing in for the long term and how to keep the secondary together.
