BREAKING: Landon Dickerson to miss 4 games, placed on IR

After a ROUGH week 1 where the injury prone Dickerson allowed 4 pressures and 1 quarterback hit, the alarm bells were blaring after an offseason allegedly mulling retirement for the veteran guard...
“Honestly, I played like s*** yesterday. I was a complete liability. It was my fault. I should not be out there until I feel healthy. A few weeks ago, someone rolled up on me in practice. We got some imaging on it today. Really the best plan going forward is to put me on IR so I can have a good stretch at the back end of the season. I don’t think anybody wants to see that again. That was ugly. That was BS. This is not related to last season.”
Like he acknowledged, this is a new injury, and not related to the right meniscus surgery he had going into a 2025 season where he had the following pass block grading through 4 weeks
Week 1: 39.9
Week 2: 56.1
Week 3: 47.5
Week 4: 40.5
In terms of the options for the Eagles 2 options come to mind
Drew Kendall
Does not have a ton of experience, but Kendall played more snaps at left guard (18) than he did at any other position in the preseason. A preseason where there were many bright spots from the backups like Kendall and Markell Bell.
Mechki Becton is also an option but comes with an asterisk. Becton thrived 2 years ago under Jeff Stoutland's system. He let up only 4 penalties all season and helped Saquon have an historic season on the ground, yet you may want to stay in house if you are the Eagles
He was let go by the Chargers and still is a free agent. That means something. Hey may not be able to run a play action/outside zone defense that the Eagles are bringing to the table this season, a new scheme under Chris Kuper would not be ideal to learn already a week into the season, so you might as well trust your younger guys for a few games.
What the team actually does remains to be seen.
