A rough one to say the least... Eagles Postgame Article 10/11/26

Just when Eagles fans thought Sirianni could not get any worse, he found yet another way to prove the doubters right.
The Eagles lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars 19-17 in London on Sunday. This is their third consecutive loss and puts them to 2-3 on the season so far. Up until the last minute it looked like the Birds pulled off a lucky win by a Jake Elliot field goal.
That is until the Philadelphia Eagles kicked it directly to the kick returner, Ameer Abdullah, who returned it for 53 yards with one second left and set Cam Little up for a game-winning field goal as time expired.
All the Eagles needed to do was execute one kickoff and they would have been lucky to escape London with a scrappy win. Instead they lost in heart break and much of the blame is being pointed to head coach Nick Sirianni. Kicking the ball in play proved to be an absolute disaster move instead of making the Jaguars try to drive the field for a hail mary victory.
After the game during the postgame press conferences, Nick Sirianni took full blame for the blunder he made which led to the loss. But does that make it ok? At some point close losses stop becoming coincidence and show that something is wrong at a deeper level.
Pressure is mounting for this Eagles team, who prior to the season was expected to be a possible Super Bowl contender. And there are a few things that have been showing up week to week consistently. That is injuries, questionable coaching choices, and costly mistakes and these are issues that through 5 weeks have come up every game.
A big positive from today's game is that the Eagles defense looked much better, not perfect, but good enough to give the offense its chances to win the game. Specifically Jalen Carter, who posted 5 total tackles, 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 pass defended. And honestly, this team has so much more talent than it is putting on paper, but cannot play up to expectations currently.
The Philadelphia Eagles fans are growing impatient, and demanding changes quickly calling for people's jobs like Nick Sirianni, Sean Mannion, and others. Luckily there is still time to change the season around, minus the injuries which no one can control.
The bottom line is the Eagles can change the season around for the better, but the window is closing rapidly, especially after this heartbreaking loss in London.
