Temple will head to the Sunshine State to take on the South Florida Bulls. Both teams are coming off games where they did not play up to their expected level, with the Owls dropping a close one 21-17 to Army this past Friday, and South Florida barely squeaking past a winless Bowling Green team. Temple has only been favored in one of their games, that one being against FCS foe Rhode Island, and that is their only win this season. They are 103, and once again underdogs against the Bulls.

Despite the 1-3 start, Head Coach KC Keeler still has full belief that his team can make waves in American play. When asked about the loss to Army, Keeler said “I thought we grew up a little bit today, even though we lost the game. Last week was brutal—not only because of the loss, but because we panicked. This week was totally different with the preparation and the energy they brought into the game. They were excited to play.” With that Keeler also stated his goal is to go 1-0 every week from here on out. There were no doubts coming into the year how talented this team was coming into the year, and this week they will look to steer the ship in the right direction.

The biggest key for the Owls is getting the offense going early, Young QB Ajani Sheppard has been very solid to start the year, but he has not had anyone emerge as a true No. 1 alpha target. They will need that to change this week if they want any chance to win. Good news for Temple is that USF’s passing offense has struggled, so they shouldn't need to put up a crazy number of points to keep pace. Jayce Freeman is a guy to look at on the offensive side of the ball who could have a big game receiving with the attention from the defense on the run game.

The main concern for this team going into Saturday is the way they have played in second halves. They kept it tight with Penn State in the first half, but got blown out in the second half. Last week against Army, they held a lead within the final 2 minutes of the game but we were unable to get a stop.
