This Sixers team just can’t stop winning.

Lebron had 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists(2 away from a triple double). Jalen Brown had his best night as a Sixer by far, putting up 30 points on 11-19 shooting and leading the team in scoring for the first time since coming over from Boston.

JB did exactly what the Sixers brought him over to do in the offseason, which is get buckets. He drained 3 threes tonight and also had his third game this season above 25 points, with the other two coming on Monday against the Bulls and the first in the Oct. 27 win against the Milwaukee Bucks.

The main thing that tonight proved is that Tyrese Maxey does not need to carry the load offensively every night. While he did have 19 points, he had his worst night shoootijg percentage wise, going a lackluster 5-19 from the field. Lebron and Jaylen Brown were able to pick up the slack and handle the Pistons. The final score was 112-106, but the game was not as close as you would think with a first glance at the box score. Philly took a 91-75 lead into the 4th, with two Dean Wade free throws extending the lead right before the third quarter buzzer. Jaylen Beown then came out of the locker room hot with a midrange jumper 20 seconds into the fourth that made the Sixer lead 18 at 93-75. By that point, the lead looked insurmountable. Majority of the Pistons points came in fourth quarter garbage time, but Cade Cunningham had 4 points in 30 seconds, and just prior to that Duncan Robinson hit a 3 on an assist from Cade, leading an 8-0 Detroit run to cut the lead down to 4 with 1:05 on the clock. With 23 seconds left, Joel Embiid knocked down two clutch free throws to essentially seal the Sixers win and improve the teams record to 8-0. Tyrese Maxey would get a chance to knock in a few more constellation free throws, but by that point the game was already over. With that, the Sixers look ahead to a Friday night matchup against LeBron’s hometown team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and will look to move to 9-1, which would mark the teams best 10 game stretch since Allen Iverson’s 2001 MVP season, and the mark set in Joel Embiid’s MVP season in 2022-23.
